Firefighters will lead a free memorial stair climb today at Nathan Benderson Park to mark 25 years since 9/11 from 8 a.m. to noon, with over 300 registered participants.

A powerful El Niño is forecast to exceed historic records from October through December as warmer Pacific waters limit Atlantic tropical storms and may bring stormier, wetter winters that could affect local conditions in North Port.
