About this event
Experience the beauty of the Beaver Moon at Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve after hours! Join preserve manager Chad Lyman for a new way to appreciate the wonders of nature under a full moon.
As the full moon rises, Chad will guide participants through the preserve’s transforming ecosystems. Without the glare of daytime sun, you will have the unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the preserve’s uplands, tidal wetlands, and freshwater ponds under the silver glow of moonlight. Learn about the nocturnal wildlife that becomes active after dark, hear the evening chorus of frogs and insects, and enjoy a rare night view from the Labyrinth on the Hill .
Whether you are a regular visitor or discovering the preserve for the first time, this guided walk offers a completely fresh, meditative perspective on our local environment.
What to Bring & Wear

• Clothing: Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are highly recommended to protect against evening mosquitoes.
• Essentials: Bring plenty of water and bug spray.
• Optional: A small flashlight or headlamp (ideally with a red-light mode to preserve everyone’s night vision).
Registration Details
• Max Capacity: 15 people

• Event is “Free of Charge”, but donations are appreciated.
